Content management is important not only for companies that provide website content but also for publishers and other media outlets. In this very fast paced world, everything has to be done really fast and precise. The pressure to give the best output in any given situation is always there. Human input is the most important aspect in this business but equally as important are the tools that we use to for proper content management.Such is the understanding of Kitsite, a London based company that specializes in the creating software for content management. They are also the industry leader in web development, creating websites for different companies in various parts of the globe. Last week, the company announced its release of their latest offering for content management software called PostCMS. This software is focused on the web content creation and management as it monitors the created content of different writers and developers. The software has an Ajax based interface for real time updates in their software. Managers will be able to see in real-time the development of the assignment. At the same time, they can also insert their own ideas on the created content. It has a powerful interface that also proves collaboration is important. With Ajax, the server side of content management works perfectly since it doesn’t have to go through repetitive request of information that most of the time cripples the bandwidth of the software. Thus the software will work but with limited abilities. If this will be placed in a setting of a small business group, internet will basically cripple the whole operation since everyone will be refreshing their page to access information to the server. With Ajax, everyone can easily access information without the need of a strong internet connection. Although it requires faster and more powerful server, KitSite resolves that problem by being the host of PostCMS. PostCMS banks on two key features: usability for authors and flexibility for developers. Authors will definitely like PostCMS because its interface has been revamped. Most of the content management software has the same interface for developers. In PostCMS, the interface for authors will be different from the developer’s software. We have to admit, all authors are not familiar with different softwares that a very complicated tool will hinder development instead of creating something faster and better. On the other hand, flexibility for developers will always be there. This open-source software could be changed according to the preferences of developers or according to the request of the author-clients. Developers will have more tools not only in changing the content of their websites faster but also in changing the software itself for customized experience. In line with the festivity of Christmas, PostCMS users will receive daily updates from December 1 until December 25. Each of the update is guaranteed to be very useful either for the author or developer. Small businesses can use this software for free. Indipendent web developers can use this software to create small websites. Large scale companies on the other hand can use this software with a license fee.
