The process of business world has really become complex from a simple trading and barter system. Now when you talk about setting up a business, you’re not only going to consider the legal implications, you’ll also have to deal with local reaction for your business. You also have to take care of your employees, accounting, tax, programs, softwares. With the internet, you even have to consider your web host, server and administrators to name a few. By the time your businesses are all set up with website and everything, you’re too exhausted to run the business. That’s why you’re again hiring a manager, you better have a good business or else you’ll never be able to get up. Technology may have cushioned some of the complications of our business but there is a constant demand of development. If we can easily centralize the processes we may be able to get things done. That means we should make businesses run in computers that connected. It will even require internet connectivity if you’re dealing with a business that has a nation-wide business. If you’re planning to streamline businesses through the internet, you should be able to have a very efficient program. A simple web based tool will not suffice. HTML used to be the answer a long time ago. But HTML goes only with response/request. That means you still have to refresh the page before you can actually know that someone is asking for your help or trying to place an order. Java might be the answer but it will require more than just a simple programming plus computers must be powerful enough to handle the Java program that will be installed in their computers. Flash is just a simple program that could really be “flashy” without great tools. What we need is a combination of all of these things. The best possible answer for now is Ajax. This technique will basically bridge the users need for a better experience. For one, Ajax will eliminate the need for request/response. There’s no need to do that since the protocol is almost eradicated in the first place. Once the person is connected (one request) everything will just flow. For example, if you’re running an online business and most of the time you answer e-mails, with HTML you still need to refresh before you can actually get an e-mail. But with Ajax everything will just flow and it will update itself if any e-mails will be coming in. Check out Gmail and the coming version of Yahoo’s Zimbra to get a better look on how Ajax can actually work. Ajax may or may not be the answer to the concerns of the business industry but it will definitely help improve the user’s experience. With Ajax, it would feel you’re always interacting with the software and the response is almost immediate. Even though it may be years before we can expect of another web technique but for now Ajax seemed to be the best answer for business.
