Naukri.com will be using Ajax to develop their very popular website. As of this writing the website is still famous among job hunters but from the fact that it was created seven years ago, a new face has to be put forward. Info Edge, the company that created the website has seen the demand for a new face in the internet. Even though Naukri.com is one powerful web based tool, it still lacks the popular Web 2.0 functionality to complete the user experience. According to Hitesh Oberoi the director of the said company puts it this way, “We had carried out a number of minor revamps in the past, but since it's quite an old site there were a number of legacies that we wanted to set right to give us more flexibility in the future. Over a period of time the site had got cluttered, the navigation had gotten spoilt resulting into poor user experience.” A simple change cannot suffice the demand for a better website. Clients are also looking for more interactivity. Not only it will be revamp, the linked site should also be working perfectly. “Hence, our basic goal was to rectify these faults and provide a more interactive and flexible platform to the users”, said Oberoi. Change is really important for this website not only for profit but also in showing they are at par with the best of the industry. Seven years is a very long time and they are certainly left behind in terms of the new offerings compared to other popular website. The company is hoping that by the use of Ajax, it will eventually be move forward to be accepted not just for those who knows the internet more than the regular guy but for regular office use. “Indian users have become very tech savvy, so they're now able to do things like setting their own job alerts, which earlier we used to do for them. This was another reason for revamping the site.” According to Oberoi. As we all know, India is a mining ground where you can find the best developers in the world. The brilliant minds usually come from this country as independent developers try as much as they can to provide the specifics of the customers no matter how hard the project is. Ajax

may be difficult for some, but if you place them in this country, it could be really easy. So we should expect some changes on the website not only it needs to be changed but as a model of the country’s ability of getting things done online. As of now the website is still on its old form. It has reached the level where it should be changed fast and the changed should be way better than what it is now. With some of the biggest names of the internet and the telecommunications industry backing up this website, we are sure something big is brewing up.
