AJAX-TipsAjax and Ruby on Rails
Selecting a framework for Ajax could be considered like placing a simple layer on top of a strong framework. Ajax and another framework are considered as two separate entities that will almost not touch each other. All the developer has to do is to create a good Ajax program and use the framework as a backbone for operations. That is why online applications nowadays are considered really efficient since they have the ability to use efficient framework and the popularity and power of Ajax makes it even better. But that parallelism between Ajax and their framework is not seen when you use Ruby on Rails. The Ajax and Ruby on Rails becomes one entity that it’s almost impossible where to tell Ajax ends and Ruby or Rails starts. Before we continue let’s track back a little and know more about Ruby on Rails. This remarkable framework was created by David Heinemeier Hansson. Since July 2004, it has been viewed and reviewed to be a revolutionary framework as it ushered a new type of framework. If you’re just starting in programming and you have to deal with a lot of coding, you might want to start in Ruby on Rails. This framework doesn’t require any extensive coding. To put it simply, Ruby on Rails cut’s off all the extensive coding leaving you with a set of commands that could be easily understood. But don’t think you’re off the hook with coding completely. Most of the work that you’ll be doing will be focused on stringing together XML so that the database will have to work together. It’s going to be really messy in the first place since you’ll be working in database more often. The extensive use of XML is where Ajax is inserted if ever you’ll be using Ajax in this framework. As we all know Ajax is not for the faint of heart programmer. You’ll have to deal with a lot of XML and JavaScript and the combination is not pretty. If it’s just a simple tool, you can probably get away with a good program really fast but Ajax was not conceptualized to create a simple program, Ajax was built to meet the demands of a very complicated community. It looks like it seamlessly processing information but beneath it is a very strong web-program. But the presence of Ruby on Rails with Ajax somehow diminishes the complexity of Ajax. But you still have to go through the complexity of Ajax and using XML in Ruby on Rails which is very complicated. Ruby on Rails already though of that when Ajax started to gain grounds in 2005 so they created another Ruby on Rails that’s dedicated to Ajax. As the creator claims this release, developers will literally forget about learning Ajax since everything will be placed in front of them without writing a single line of JavaScript. Ruby on Rails and Ajax is one smart combination for created web tools. Other are following suit on this type of framework that in a few years time, creating a program will be easier for everyone.
