Ajax vs. SEO

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) has been the primary source of income of some of the internet marketers. Their ability to accelerate the popularity of a website enables them to get in the forefront of earning not only because of the affiliate sites that they have but because of adsense.

Companies either could have an in house optimizer or even contract a third party provider that will ensure that the company will stand out among other websites when they are searched either in Yahoo, Google or MSN. With tweaks on the content and proper manipulation of information, the SEO companies will be able to increase the ranking of the site exponentially.

On the other hand, Ajax has been developed to adapt not only to HTML codes. One of the major reasons why Ajax was developed was to eliminate the necessity to download softwares before it can even happen.

Ajax specializes in integrating, Java, Flash, XML and HTML codes. Ajax makes them load faster since they don’t require any software in the client side in order for these things to run. The server will just implement the software from the server-side and make the program run as planned.

It’s a big solution to a bigger problem. This has become the focus of concern on some of the SEO who dedicate themselves in writing articles. If Ajax based websites will become the future of internet surfing, most of the articles that will be published will be using Java and Flash platforms.

Compared to HTML, Java and Flash is more interactive that has been receiving good reviews even from a simple internet junkie. That day could sound outrageous for now but it will be possible because of the increasing demand for ease of surfing and better interactivity between the client and the website. If these articles are going to run on these online softwares, the problem would be for the web crawlers to determine what is actually listed in the website.

Google has already announced their difficulty in categorizing these types of files. The reason for this is the inability of the crawler to categorize is in the eyes of web crawlers Java is just another piece of formula and it doesn’t say anything at all. Even the .swf files can’t easily be categorized and even recognized as part of the SEO. Thus the engine cannot know what the website is talking about and the ranking, even with all that is written, can’t easily move forward. The proposed solution is the proper use of snippets.

Snippets use reusable codes. However, the uploaded information or the article is not guaranteed. It will only be good for one time tagging of the article box but if you place the program that caters to a number of articles everyday, nothing will happen. Google will only take a look at the label of the snippets instead of the articles. We’re sure that something will eventually come up with Google. For now, we have to live with Google and Yahoo’s search engines. Just make sure you have enough articles in HTML.
