Now ColdFusion has released their newest version which is now in version 8. This version is really important to ColdFusion Developers as since this upgrade will now include the widely popular coding technique, Ajax. The internet world is at the brink of breaking out from simple request/response protocol because of Ajax. Many products and toolkits have already been updated to cater to this type of coding. ColdFusion may have come in a little bit later than most of the programs but it’s all for the good of the program. If you’ve been reading about Ajax lately, this type of coding is really complex that it has become the target for most attacks because of its vulnerability. Developers of Ajax are more focused on functions that security may have been left out. With various susceptibilities realized online. Some showed hesitation in actually using this product especially for crucial business processes. ColdFusion 8 creators waited a little bit more before they actually released the product. They didn’t even ride the popularity of the recently concluded AjaxWorld Conference. The developers of the product released the beta version for review. What came back is a reaction that encouraged the developers of the product. Ajax is only one of the updates of the program but it’s regarded as the most important of them all considering the implications it could bring to the business world. Other important updates of the new ColdFusion include: CFFEED Tag This is a very smart addition of the ColdFusion. Embracing Web 2.0, the new ColdFusion will not only create better user interface but with the CFFEED tag. This tag will enable the developers to easily create RSS feeds for their customers. A great example usage of the tag is the ability of the customer to use the feed to be updated with all the news posted by the company. The feed will just deliver the news immediately to its customers through their aggregators. PDF Tag With a click of a button, the page launched by the program will now be transferred to PDF. If properly integrated in the program it will be able to create PDF files for documentation purposes. A good example is for the businesses wherein they could easily download a PDF version of a receipt for their customers. Check out Adobe’s website for the stable release version of the software. As the beta version already promises to be efficient for most developers, the program is set to advance the interest not only in Ajax but also for business development.
