Developers, Start Your Engines! Facebook Needs Developers

Facebook is on the verge of busting out a new internet technology that will provide better experience for their users. But they don’t really know what the development will entail but they certainly know how much it will cost them: $10 million. They are inviting developers to help Facebook create more applications and foster more development. With the help of the renowned Facebook platform, developers will create various type of programs.

But it’s not just any development or any widgets and mash-ups, this development that will really cost Facebook this time, will provide the scripting tool. It could be an advantage or disadvantage for various developers but either way, they will have to work their way through the scripting tool. This tool was just updated with version 1.0. As of September 18, the FBJS or the FaceBook JavaScript tool is already out of the 1.0 Beta and can now be used for development.

The JavaScript tool will also have to cater to various Ajax interfaces. As the company moves on to further development, more hook ups with Java and Ajax are required. So a simple tip for thousands of developers out there: don’t slump in you Ajax lessons or you’ll be outdated not only in your bragging rights (to other developers) but also in the money you can get for the things that you have created.

In the end what you’ll have is a tool that will only become a widget. And widgets unfortunately, will only give you credits but no reward from FaceBook. This venture is just one of the things that you would expect from FaceBook. Aside from using in house web developers that will cost millions of dollars more in the long run, they just dangled a hefty price for anyone who wants to earn money in their own time.

Instead of getting the right person for the job by posting, hiring and so many paper-pushing to do, they just offered a price for the best application out there. With thousands even millions of developers right now trying to earn some big bucks in their spare time; they will surely have the best in no time. It’s just a matter of choice from the people of FaceBook in selecting the best application that they can run in their system.

The challenge right now is not to create the best and the fastest but what will be the most efficient for the website. Added to that are the restrictions FaceBook has put up for the developers. Of course there will be no external links or the use of other sites to implement the program.

It’s a simple restriction but in that way, the big men will surely be separated from the wannabees. So rev up those coding techniques and get more developers to help you with the endeavor. Wherever you are or whatever you are as long as you can provide FaceBook with the things they need, you will certainly get a slice of $10million. It’s a long run but it will be a challenge with rewards.
