Google Analytics Goes Live

For freelance writers and webmaster, Google Adsense has become their second Job. Building a website so that it will be visited frequently will generate earnings. Some is very serious about the earnings that they go full-time in their site while others just for fun. Either way, Google will give you earnings as soon as the earnings reach $100.00.When properly launched and becomes an extremely popular site, you can practically concentrate in your website full time. The challenge is really great since there are millions of site competing to have a piece of a pie but once you get started, everything will work out just fine. For some months, people are just stuck in speculating how many visitors they have in a specific site. There are softwares that offer these services but they usually come at a price that we just opted to concentrate on the things that we know and work around it. But we want to know more and pay less. Alexa may be able to help us with the popularity of the website but there are no numbers to look them up. All you get are graphs that will tell you on what day your site has more visitors or not. It’s convenient and free but the information is not that complete. As a hungry pack of wolves we ask for something better from Google. Actually, Google already have this service called Google Analytics. It’s one of the most powerful online programs that use Ajax technology as it can easily generate reports about the program. However, it’s not as complete as we though. We know from the basic services that’s available from Google we know there’s something more. And we’re right; Google Analytics is being upgraded into a very powerful Ajax-based online software. Still on its beta version, you can actually sign up for their packages easily all you need to do is to sign up for the services with your Google account, paste the code in your website and verify the link. At the same time, Google will also be releasing their desktop version called Urchins. This was a company that was purchased almost two years ago by Google and it’s only now that they actually released an update on this software. Now on Version 6, this desktop version will also be using almost the same Ajax based interface with Analytics. However, there are some obvious differences such as more tracking for Adwords ordered from Google as well as Outbound Links that track-back to the site. The web based version is free for those who just want to know the traffic of their website but on a limited version. For adwords, you’ll be able to get more reports since you already pay Google for their services. Urchins however is a priced software, the current version ranges from $900 to $5,000 depending on the information you need. These are mostly used for business purposes. If you’re just a starter or have just created a website, all you need is the Analytics to know the traffic and performance of your website.
