JavaScript Hidden Object

JavaScript and Ajax has drastically changed the way users interact online. The website is no longer a place where information can be extracted as it has become a tool that can be used for various purposes. Some have even used Ajax to create a virtual desktop that enable users to transport their desktop experience in the browser.

One of the factors that have helped in the implementation of this interaction is the hidden object. As the name suggests, this object allow developers implement or extract information even though they are not visible to users. Through hidden objects, developers can implement multiple functions that allow more interaction in the application.

But the hidden object is basically an input type. This means developers may implement this function as HTML. The <HTML input> object will provide the elements for the form where data will be extracted. But even though it's implemented in HTML, the form will still be invisible as it's already part of the JavaScript function.

Developers will call on the data they needed and set the hidden for where the data will be added. By working in the background, the application will process the information and will be ready once the user needs the output.

Using the HTML input is the essential part of the hidden object for two reasons. The first reason is that the HTML input will specifically inform the JavaScript engine that the form should remain hidden from the view of users.

The second reason for the HTML's importance is that the implementation of hidden object is lightweight.

Using other programming languages will still work as expected but its implementation is slower. Developers need to have faster interaction since the hidden input processes the data needed in the application immediately.

Properties for Hidden Objects

The properties related to hidden objects are limited but very essential:

Form - this type of property interacts with the user in terms of revealing the information added in the hidden object.

Type - although it's already indicated in the HTML input that the object would be hidden, this property is added to identify the elements of the hidden and associated data. This is needed to match the hidden form.

Name - as the name suggests, this property is used to identify the specific object by its name.

Value - this property provides the value of the object. By default, the information is not immediately revealed from the hidden object to maintain its lightweight functionality.

Parent Form and Inheritance in Methods

The possibility that hidden objects can easily work even with an active function in the application is that the data is automatically connected to the hidden form. The data coming from the user is regarded as the parent form. Aside from connection to the raw data as parent form, developers rely on inheritance so that property can be easily implemented.

By using HTML and relying on inheritance for methods, developers will be able to build an efficient form hidden from the users for useful application.
