Light and Simplified Ajax through Ra Ajax

Developing an Ajax based application is very challenging. It is already a common knowledge that JavaScript is difficult, taking years to master and different projects before one could say they are truly proficient in this programming language.

That is why frameworks became popular as it would aid developers in building Ajax based applications without complicated coding. There are hundreds of Frameworks out there and most of them cater to a specific type of programming language.

If you are proficient in ASP.Net, then you should consider using Ra Ajax. It is one of the newest frameworks for an Ajax based application. Developed by Thomas Hansen, this framework is geared towards developers who are already familiar with the basic tools and functions of ASP.Net.

This framework could be implemented in the client side with powerful bindings with server side frameworks. That means mash-ups are possible for speedier application. But Ra Ajax could still work as a stand-alone with an ability to connect to the server regularly and implement them easily in the client side.

ASP.Net Controls

Developers who are proficient in ASP.Net should be able to use this framework in minutes. The controls and commands of Ra Ajax are closely associated with ASP.Net. The framework has emulated different functions of ASP.Net making it look like an ASP.Net framework with an output of an Ajax based application.

Size Does Matter

Because of its emulation of ASP.Net, it could be said that Ra Ajax is actually a copy of ASP.Net. It looks like ASP.Net but the output is never the same. Ra Ajax’s framework aims in building applications that are lightweight and can be implemented in any browser.

The author of the framework highly recommends developers to check their output with firebug and YSlow to check if their application is very lightweight. If the application stays in simple format with few functions and links, the online application – including CSS, images and few add-ons would never amount to more than 300kb the official website of Ra Ajax is only 15kb.

SEO Friendly

One of the disadvantages of an Ajax based application is the inability to be seen by web crawlers making it difficult to build an SEO-friendly website. JavaScript can use HTML but they would still be wrapped with DIV which covers the text from web crawlers.

Ra Ajax was able to address that problem and the entire webpage developed through Ra Ajax is SEO friendly. You may even think that the website has been developed through HTML but the interactivity will still be there.

Cleaner

Interacting with Ra Ajax will not yield a highly complicated JavaScript. The output of the framework will be in C# form. Developers would be able to build an Ajax based application and expect an output of C#. Developers could easily maintain the application and expect the same output once the fix has been made.

Ra Ajax is a very simple framework with the intention of building highly interactive, lightweight and SEO friendly website. Set-up is only in minutes and ASP.Net proficient developers could build an online application fast.
