Mash-up is the term given to a program that requires more than one platform or source. This term became popular together with the development of Ajax. The end result is usually is a user friendly program with no security. Although it still takes a little bit of computer smartness to hack into an Ajax based program, the information that can be extracted from Ajax based programs is virtually unlimited. Mash-ups virtually are created with a gap since it uses different sources and most of it is not secured. Since Ajax runs based on the server, the information of everyone could be hacked since everything will be exposed. But developers don’t only stand aside when something complicated comes by. This security problem is a huge hurdle for now.
