ASP.Net has gained a lot of support lately especially when the version 3.5 was released because ASP.Net has finally integrated support for an Ajax based development. Different developers who are already familiar with ASP.Net could easily expand in building Ajax based application with this update. The ControlPanel has its own set of developer tools for developers who just wanted to concentrate on ControlPanel. Additional components were built for different reasons and have been growing in an exponential level that judging from different developer’s support; ASP.Net has become one of the most powerful frameworks for Ajax based development.

While most of the components for an Ajax based development were made as a mere function in ASP.Net, some were built as a completely different set of functions to build better and faster Ajax based applications. One of those functions built for ASP.Net is RadControls for ASP.Net Ajax.

Compared to other functions and add-on components for ASP.Net, RadControls offers a wide array of functions that it has become a software development tool in itself. However, it is still a component for ASP.Net as it still needs this powerful framework to run. When you combine ASP.Net and RadControls, you have a very powerful ASP.Net that could build Ajax faster with all the components that you need.

What is even more significant for RadControls is that it has become an entirely a different development model that developers can use this function not only for Ajax based function. Of course, you still have to integrate this with ASP.Net so what you will have is an application developed through ASP.Net. Instead of simple functions offered by ASP.Net, you end up with a more robust application using RadControls whether it is an Ajax based application or not. This integration opens up possibilities of developing other applications that are non-Ajax based.

Suppose, if you build a non-Ajax based application, your users will still have the pleasure of using the component that offers client-side experience. That means even though the developed application does not have the functionality of an Ajax based application, the experience is almost the same. JavaScript is still used so that users can experience a smooth flowing website. But the challenge is to code the application without gearing it towards an Ajax based application. There are also additional features added to this application since its last version that is usable for JavaScript and the rest of the client side functions.

But all of these functions are for nothing if RadControls is not built with impressive accessibility. Developers would easily handle this add-on in ASP.Net because it is available in different browsers and the application that could come from ASP.Net. It has also followed the standard accessibility compliance requirement and more so that developers could access more functions for their application.

Although this does not come as a free or an open-source component for ASP.Net, developers who are working in the enterprise will definitely see its worth as it could seamlessly provide the functions you need for building an Ajax based application and more.
