RichFaces 3.1 to be Released

On September 13, JBoss.org will release its latest version of JBoss RichFaces. It will be the 3.1 version of JBoss product that deals with the creation of user interfaces. It has a set of library that will be launched in a specific framework called the Ajax4JSF.

JSF is short for JavaServer Faces, a powerful framework that works for the benefit of implementing the program of JBoss which is the RichFaces. RichFaces is used by developers to create Java rich content for ease of users. It’s a good option for developers since the framework is really user friendly and the interfaces it can develop are remarkable.

However, Java can only be fully implemented on the server side and even though it will be felt by the users, only developers will be able to see the full extent of the service. But with the release of version 3.1, it’s set to change the service it provides to the developers.

The version will now be integrated and intensified with Ajax. As Ajax is taking the internet world by storm, it’s almost a 100% prediction that JBoss will enhance their services with this recent release. The 3.1 version will give more power to user’s and interactivity will be better. It’s even better that this version will not only use the RichFaces of JBoss, it will also use other applications of JBoss making the experience better especially for web developers.

Rich calendar component will also be an added feature for the upcoming release of the update. It will also be a powerful Ajax based components that will greatly benefit developers. Gavin King made the announcement of the recent development as a major step for the company. “With RichFaces, we're providing a powerful and simple way for developers to build robust AJAX and Web 2.0 applications while leveraging the power of Java EE…Version 3.1 marks an important milestone for RichFaces.

We will continue to build upon this foundation with more components and features to make developers more productive in their Web 2.0 development projects,” said King in an official statement from the company. If you’re looking for a sample of this development, the version of RichFaces will be presented to the public on the Red Hat Developer Studio Release.

Red Hat is also one of the companies being run by King and has a direct collaboration with the development of JBoss at the same time. As always, RichFaces 3.1 will be released to the public as an open-source software. This edition will also be added in their Enterprise Edition. It’s another welcoming development from JBoss as they provide richer application tools for the web developers. Ajax is really an important step for newer internet interfaces.

However, the concern right now is that Ajax is a technique that needs to be learned intensively. Even people who have experience in Java technology will have some concerns mastering the coding of this new technique. With the release of the version 3.1, the next step for Ajax technology is closer and easier to figure out.
