UIZE Framework

JavaScript frameworks started to gain popularity when Ajax became the next big programming technique for developers. Because of the complexity of the programming language, frameworks have been developed to ease the development of Ajax based applications.

Instead of learning the language, frameworks can help developers piece together functions that will eventually serve its role when launched in the client side. It's basically a shortcut in building Ajax and JavaScript based applications.

Although developers can't find a lot of active frameworks, there are still new frameworks coming out of beta stage that is slowly gaining adoption. Only time will tell if they would have consistent support. But for now, the framework would have to prove its efficiency.

One of the latest frameworks slowly gaining approval from various developers is called UIZE (you-see). Initial impression about the framework is very positive as the developers seemed to have covered almost everything an application needs. This is a good thing since frameworks regarded as side projects starts small and will never have consistent support.

Features of UIZE

An almost complete system - as already indicated, UIZE will provide developers with almost any function it needs to create an application. Developers should be able to piece together functions solely from UIZE and will be able to build a relatively powerful application.

Server agnostic - keeping up with the current trend in frameworks, UIZE can work with major servers. It doesn't matter which platform the developer chooses as UIZE should be able to implement it's functions without any challenges.

No extension of objects - one of the biggest headaches of developers in implementing new functions is that they will be automatically limited to specific frameworks. But UIZE moves away from the said practice by providing functions with absolutely no unique extensions. This means developers can add other functions from other frameworks in order to develop more powerful functions using UIZE.

Notable Functions from UIZE

UIZE is not just any framework that wants to get acknowledged for a few months and then forgotten. The framework actually packs some functions that can significantly improve the looks and functions of the application.

Fade Functions - one of the latest functions released by UIZE are based on cosmetic improvements of the site. But they are specifically on color fading and color interaction using mouse or keyboard. Functions such as Uize.Widget.HoverFader and fadeInOut should be able to provide significant improvement on the looks of various Ajax based application.

Use of JSON Tree - data access in UIZE has been optimized with the use of JSON for data extraction. JSON based tree should speed up data processing as it can perfectly work with JavaScript. It might require some tweaking for developers to adopt JSON for major browsers but it can be done which means data extraction is fast when done right.

Implementation of systems - just like most major frameworks, developers can use systems of functions instead of specifically pointing a function. The systems even extend to some optimization functions such as code compression, documentation and even widget development.
