Unobtrusive Ajax

Ajax has been developed for many years and its current status is way better when it was introduced in 2005. But there still exists that developers would have to face in developing an Ajax based application.

Among the challenges for developers is on how to properly implement unobtrusive Ajax.

The importance of using unobtrusive Ajax has been highlighted for some time now. By implementing unobtrusive Ajax, developers would be able to build Ajax based applications that are better performing, secured as well as user friendly. By removing the clutters, developers should be able to have a powerful Ajax based application.

Challenges to Implementation

Developing an Ajax based application is already difficult but developing unobtrusive Ajax is even more challenging.

There are certain practices developers have to consider and would even have to shed off as this have been their constant practice since Ajax was launched.

Another challenge for developers in implementing Ajax based application is the proper implementation of inline event. Inline events are very easy to implement but that ease cannot be enjoyed when the inline even will be integrated to HTML.

Since HTML would have their own configuration, inline events could prove to be slowing down the basic functions of HTML and vice versa.

There are two options in dealing with this problem. The first solution is to completely ignore inline events for HTML.

The second option is to practice obtrusive Ajax for better implementation. Obviously the latter is the better solution as this will improve the interaction of the online application with users.

Another challenge to implementation is the proper support for links. With unobtrusive Ajax, outside links could be discarded and might not be implemented at all.

Using Checkers

Fortunately, there is an answer to the problems posted in implemented unobtrusive Ajax. There are JavaScript checkers that are geared towards implementation of unobtrusive Ajax.

They could check the basic functions of JavaScript and reconsider the whole application and see if the application has been coded according to standard practices of unobtrusive Ajax.

There are some challenges though. Developers have been contended in developing Ajax the way is and based on the user’s response, everything looks fine. They can still build obtrusive Ajax and concentrate on improving the local gadget’s ability to receive information.

Ajax after all, is based not only on the coding but also in the power of the server as well as the client side. Since the client side and server are constantly improving, it would be possible to stay with the same obtrusive Ajax.

The client and the server side will just accelerate the functions to properly implement the Ajax based application.

Unobtrusive Ajax may not revolutionary but it does provide a good update on the programming language. This type of coding for Ajax ensures that the functions will be working faster and interaction better.

Although there will be challenges in coding unobtrusive Ajax because of the accustomed practices, there are checkers for JavaScript that will help in properly implementing Ajax based applications with unobtrusive coding.
