WTFramework for Easy Framework Detection

You were lazily browsing through different websites when you suddenly bumped into a simple yet cool Ajax based application. You were intrigued with the functions and the almost flawless rendering of the application.

Knowing that you bumped into something good enough to be emulated, you start to figure out how they were able to build the highly efficient application.

But doing this manually could take a lot of time and the result is not even the same, using applications that will show you the script will never help especially when the application is built with the use of an Ajax based framework.

A good place to start in figuring out which framework is used in the application is through the simple, yet highly useful tool called WTFramework or "What the Framework".

Simply put, this tool will help developers identify which framework is being used in building the Ajax based application.

This application was developed by Oskar Krawczyk and this tool has created a good buzz among developers especially for those who are interested in Ajax or JavaScript.

This lightweight tool could be easily launched in a browser and will immediately determine the framework used for the application.

WTFramework is a small and simple tool but this too is highly effective in its function which is to determine the framework for the application. This tool is a bookmarklet with the unique ability to track the JavaScript functions and objects.

Each framework has a unique object that when detected, the developer will be immediately alerted. Other script decoding applications will just go after the script.

A developer might be able to figure out the script but could never emulate the functionality for two reasons.

First is that the framework might have generated the code and it is only through the right object that the function will work as expected and; second, developers do not encourage copying the functions.

Although information sharing is important among developers, they cannot just crack the application and use it for their advantage without consulting the original developer.

This application is clearly into something remarkable. This application will practically ease the development process of developers who have seemed to have run out of ideas on how to build an application with creativity and matching usability.

But this application still has a long way to go and luckily, the developers have acknowledged the concerns and have worked some of those problems based on the reaction of the users.

Aside from pointing out the specific type of framework in building an Ajax based application, the author has updated the tool so that it could specifically point out the version of the Ajax based library. This will greatly enhance the understanding of developers in trying to figure out how the application was built.

Another feature that was greatly talked about by the users and the author is the additional function for multiple frameworks. Since most of the powerful and efficient applications use two or more frameworks, it is just fitting that the tool will release this function. For now that feature is not yet on WTFramework but will be available in future releases.
