XMLWriter - An Effective XML Tool

 Category: AJAX Tools Add Comment

In most ajax based applications, XML has a very big role to fulfill. As one of the most recognized markup languages, developers already have a good idea on how to deal with XML.

Although there are hurdles recognized as to how XML could actually be implemented in an Ajax based application, resources and assistance could be found online at anytime.

Properly implementing XML in an Ajax based environment is very important as XML is the means for transporting data from the server side to the client. Without XML, all the developers would have is an application that has all the looks but without any usable data.

As much as the developer’s familiarity with XML in terms of relating it to an Ajax based application, there would still be flaws. Due to human factor, there will always be a time that something is missing in the coding of XML. This will cause frustration as developers would sometimes spend hours scouring for the reason why the system failed to work.

With this problem in mind, XMLWriter was released. This small component in an Ajax based application will work wonders for any developer. The name says it all – instead of letting developers toil for so many hours writing codes for XML, this component provides the automation so that XML would be easily executed.

XMLWriter comes with different pre-installed applications that could be easily activated by developers. With this, XML could be manipulated since it has highly changeable components. Although XMLWriter has made XML become automated, it does not have the flaw of not having enough functions to execute the application. It is even possible for the developers to leave the XML as is. XMLWriter will just take the default function and use it accordingly in the Ajax based application.

It is fair to note though that XMLWriter is strikingly similar to XMLTextWriter of ASP.Net. This is a very valid assumption as XMLWriter is based on XMLTextWriter. However, the striking difference of XMLWriter with XMLTextWriter is that it has shortened XMLTextWriter into its bareback function.

Instead of being used into a single format, XMLWriter could be integrated in any Ajax based framework. That means, any application in an Ajax based application could be integrated with this function. It is simple, lightweight and could be integrated in any framework.

Encoding the components requires two arguments: the encoding and the version of XMLWriter. Basically, the version argument is already standard. On the other hand, encoding is still based on the hands of the developer. They could use the standard UTF-8 or move on to another encoding that will go well with the application.

XMLWriter is a brand new component developed by Ariel Flesler. Released just a few weeks ago, it has already generated more than enough buzz. Comments have been generally positive about the component although it was never used in outside applications other than the one developed by Flesler. You can check it out in his blog and see learn more about this simple yet very applicable XML tool.
