SmoothStart is a Florida based company that served some of the Fortune 500 companies for better business presence in the internet has announced the launch of SmoorthStart, a tool for sales leads through search engines.
SmoothStart can assist the company whenever they need to launch something online. The Company has been credited by Google, Yahoo and MSN to assist the customers with the needs like this. As the search engine marketing becomes fiercer everyday, SmoothStart will be there to assist the customers with their tools. The company has been operating since 2001, focusing on Fortune 500 companies but now they are expanding their scope to the general market.
This new program released by and named SmoothStart, uses Ajax for real time access of information. Ajax could bring information online as they happen. Effectively using this tool, they are able to get information about the customer’s buying habit until what demographic would you actually use as point of reference. SmoothStart also uses Ruby on Rails which is known for their simplicity in integrating to various websites. Ruby on Rails is simple enough to use but very powerful to influence the software’s performance. Data could be accessed easily and information will be filtered at the same time.
Aside from Ajax and Ruby on Rails, the company is also proud to label themselves as the “kingpin of mashups.” Even before it’s being implemented, there are at least 10 APIs already integrated to this thing. We’re not sure yet of what APIs are added to the application but with the use of Ruby on Rails, then software will eventually connect us in one way or the other. It could be tools for daily reporting or highlighting the great things about the site and use it to attract more visitors. APIs are really expected in some of the Ajax based websites since it will assist various tasks of the website.
SmoothStart can also be integrated with Funnel Vision, another product of SmoothStart. Using their software, users will be able to see who visits the sites and their respective purchases. This real time software can be customized for specifications. With Ajax, Funnel Vision will be able to give more information and closer monitoring regarding the website’s usage.
This program is also specially made for Web 2.0 themed websites. That means the generated information will not necessarily from the owners of the website but will be based on website’s users.
The website is still in Beta Testing. The namesake software of the company promises to do things better compared to other sites. We used to think that getting on top of the search engine is really expensive. But this software has showed us that it’s not all about the money to get you to number one but in search engine results. With more hits, sales are guaranteed and small to medium sized businesses will flourish. The final version is set to be released in the early months of 2008. This version can be used for personal, or business. But whatever the purpose is, the software is projected to be used free of charge when the stable version is released.
