dynamic edit page

I am new to Ajax. i do not know how to create a ajax page.
In the page, i want to have two text boxes one for store name, one for postal code. if i start entering store name as "abc" the ajax page should automatically display a list of stores which start with "abc" in grid view. same with postal code.
Can any one please help me in building this kind of page.
I have VS2005 installed in my system. Do i need to have any other software.

Please help me...
