how do i type characters like in the aski table before? like smileys, stars or anything of the sort?

Use Dreamweaver. It's really good. If you don't want to pay get a trial version and use it just for this.You can do any coding you want yourself, but DW is best for all the special character s and all.If you don't want to do this, email me and I'll give you the code for special characters.Hope this helped!!!!!?!
