CSS to make the space behind an image

How can I use CSS to make the space behind an image a color other than white (read below)? I have a frame set. When I load an image into a frame using src="image.jpg" I want the space that is not the image to be filled with black.

Yea, you're going to have to create a simple html document to accomplish this. When you just load an image you can't attach any background information unless you call the image from an html page.
