should i design my website in flash or dreamweaver?

i just can't decide. it is a simple website but aesthetics are very important. i started in DW and it's driving me nuts. I wonder if Flash would be better. My teacher thinks I should use animation and everything but I have only been doing this course for 12 weeks and I am not that advanced yet. Errrgh. Help!

I don't have a very deep background when it comes to web design, but I feel that sticking with DreamWeaver to design your website is the better choice. I don't know too much about Flash but as far as I know it is very complicated to design/create a website using it. You could implement some Flash elements into your website. I don't really understand the question entirely based on the constraints of what you're trying to achieve.

I would personally go with a flash website as more comps are compatible with it. Flash also has a way (at least for me) of making the loading times on videos and games faster than DW.

It's all a matter of preference. I have a cousin that designs web, who prefers to write her own code, and designs pages using only notepad and a web browser to check the work, and they're pretty intricate. Don't have any experience with flash, but dreamweaver was pretty easy to use. It's all a matter of preference, use what you feel comfortable using, and you'll get better results.
