Flash is fun. You can do all sorts of animation and build websites. Adobe Photoshop CS 2 you can have fun modifying pictures. For design, go with Adobe Illustrator CS 2. I've used Adobe products for over 7 years and they are really cool. Illustrator is mainly for print like posters, packaging, business cards. Then if you want pagelayout get indesign. Hell, you should go buy Adobe Creative Suite 2. If your a student you can get this for under 500 bucks. If your not, its about 1600 so find someone who is.
