I lost my java, how can I get it back?

Ever since I downloaded the last Java Update, about two weeks ago, I can no longer view anything that requires javascript. I tried to search for Java, (and Sun Java) but nothing turns up. I can see it in my 'programs' list, but all I can do there is delete or change it.You can stop answering! I cant choose a best answer yet, but I did uninstall and reinstall java, and it works!

Delete Java, then re-download it. If it still doesn't work, get professional help.

Java and JavaScript are two different things! I think you are referring to the Java. Seems to me that the java PATH and the CLASSPATH values are corrupted. You can try setting them back and then run the programs which require the JRE (Java Runtime). Try the following steps to set the path.1. Open Start -> Control Panel -> System2. Then select Advance tab and Environment Variable button in it3. Under the “System Variables” select the item “path”. Then click “Edit” button and type the path of your java installation (BIN folder location) to the end of the textbox. (Like C:\Program Files\Java\Bin) and press OK4. Then from the same list select “classpath” item and press the “Edit” button. Just like the BIN folder, type the full paths for LIB and INCLUDE (Like C:\Program Files\Java\lib; C:\Program Files\Java\include) and press OK5. Now your java must workIf it is still not working, you can try the following1. Restart the computer and see weather the programs are working now2. Uninstall java completely and reinstall it backHope this helps
