You could try using the Gimp ( http://www.gimp.org/ ) and then searching for the "animation plugin for the Gimp". Then you need to understand how to use it. I recently found this great page to learn how to make an animated gif/jpeg file for the Gimp: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Simple_Animations/
