US Patent Reform Bill Moves Out of Committee

The proposed Patent Reform Act of 2007 that critics of the US patent system put so much stock in has cleared the House Judiciary Committee and should now wend its way to the House floor for debate. Its backers are hoping for action before the August recess. A similar version of the bill passed the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.
