AJAX applications have the potential to break the enterprise stranglehold currently enjoyed by provider of packaged software suite solutions. Currently, smaller software companies are challenged by the fact that potential enterprise customers, having bought a suite solution, will purchase add-on applications from the same vendor, having set a course of 'standardizing' on a particular vendor's products.
