Can it be possible to open an xml file and view it as 'code and design'type?

Becoz, when I am opening an xml file it is opening in just code view mode.I want it to show both code and design views.I am using dreamweaver 8 with internet explorer6.thanks

XML is just data though. If you were to see it in Design view, you'd see the exact same thing.

You can force Dreamweaver to recognize XML files the same way it does HTML (thus enabling the Design view) but I wouldn't recommend it, since the XML file type is so widespread throughout Dreamweaver.
