Adobe Flash Player 9 Issues?

After installing the Flash Player on my new OS (XP PRO) I find that it is not on my list of add ons. I have also tried to view videos on youtube and it tells me I need the already downloaded player. I also have installed the Macromedia Shockwave Player and have no issues with it. How can a program be installed (Adobe Flash Player 9) and not be installed? Better yet, is there something I need to uninstall before installing it? Thank you. Best Answer gets the points today!

Are you using IE, and if so which version? or are you using another browser like firefox or opera?Well, if you are using firefox, flash 9 is not yet properly configured and a great deal of people are having a great deal of trouble playing and watching videos correctly...if you are using IE , then make sure you have correctly downloaded the Flash Player 9, ( here is a direct link for ya, http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...com/flash.html well i hope that helps
