    I'm new to ajax, and would like to know which

    toolkit i can use for ajax development.? I'm pretty comfortable using Dreamweaver for HTML and CSS, but dreamweaver does not have a great ide for javascript. features like code completion, wtc are missing for javascript.I'm also thinking about ruby on rails...please gimme som einfo on this matter..thanks

    there are several javascript libraries avaliable to do an AJAX request to a server.- DojoKit- Rico- Prototype- Yahoo! UI (YUI)If you're interested in YUI and AJAX, you'll want to take a look at the Connection Manager utility which will enable you to make XHR (aka AJAX) requests. Documentation and examples can be found on the YUI site.If you're mainly concerned with integrating Ruby on Rails and Javascript, I found Dan Webb's site informative for that particular reason.

    I am betting that by the time you read this, the nature of AJAX will have clicked in your head! If not you probably need to quit using Dreamweaver to write your code for you and start using it as an editing tool.
