What is the best ajax framework?

I have found jQuery, MooTools and Solutoire but have no idea which one I should use in my latest project. I don't know javascript very well (I fumbled my way through making my last Ajax chat script) and would like an easy to use and 'frill-free' Ajax framework.Something with decent community support is preferred. Thanks!

The 'best' is open to heated debate. The most popular is probably prototype(1), which has been extended by scriptaculous(2), with internal windows(3) , then there's Rico(4), based on prototype, not forgetting behaviour(5) ....Another contender is DOJO(6)Alternatively there's Qooxdoo(7)Personally I think I'd look at prototype, but the sheer volume of data is overwhelming... Good luck
