Redesign using web 2.0

...make it very Web 2.0 ish. Very clean, with gradients....? I want it to have a very modern, fresh, clean look. I want an "apple" look to it. Where can I find really nice sites to see to get an idea of how to make this one? The site I'm doing the redesign for is www.comonetwork.com. It's a how-to website where users can go to view and publish how-to tutorials. So I want to make sure that the design of the site makes it clearn to the visitor what the site is exactly, as soon as they see it. Thanks!
