It is quite difficult to use AJAX with ASP.Net. I would recommend you to use a framework or ASP.NET 2.0 (more built-in AJAX type of support). The AJAX type frameworks for ASP.Net that I know are Atlas from Microsoft and Ajax.Net http://www.ajaxpro.info/default.aspx here is a list of ajax frameworks for .net http://ajaxpatterns.org/DotNet_Ajax_FrameworksLoren Soth
