You are using one now.Imagine Yahoo answers in an enterprise but instead of questions about dating and recipes it is about how to fill in a certain sort of form or what a customer is entitled to. wikis blogs etc.

the biggest aspect is how easy it is to find what you're looking for - take tagging for example - who ever heard of that 5 years ago - and look how easy it makes it to find knowledge experts in your organization - that is, if your enterprise utilizes your corp directory information properly - go to ibm.com for instance and search for social computing - what they're doing is amazing
